I think pearl needs some more sleep suits! She's getting so long there's no room for her legs. Shes going to be taller than her mum that's for sure. I love this red suit though. I think she looks like a parashute jumper!

Took Pearl to her first baby group today. Or my first baby group. I was nervous about going but it was fun. Lots of things for Pearl to roll around on. And shining rattling things to shake and stare at. I now have lots of ideas of fun things to give to pearl to play with. Like whisks and colourful scarfs!
Also had her weighed and a healthy 14oz 15lb.
Pearl is so nearly sitting up to. Most of the time balancing for a little while before keeling over. So propping her up in what ever I can do she's sitting up. Here we have pearl in her boat! And arm chair in the cot.

Avec amore

Beautiful little baby clothes made by Pearl's Granny. Pretty cotton floral dress and trousers. I love the little label avec amore. Ready for our up coming holiday.

Drawings

I've been meaning to pick up a pencil for ages now. Unfortunately the only pencil I could find in the house was a 4H. These are my first attempts.
The concept based on blind drawings- where u don't look at the paper and use one continuous line.

Born to bounce

Mile stones.

It's hard to be able to sit down and write anything on this blog, as I can only really update when Pearls having a nap, and I don't have anything to do first. So that doesn't happen very often! Then I look at this blog and wish that I had posted more often.

So in a nut shell, Pearls now the grand old age of 17 weeks and weighs a wopping 14lb 3oz. In the last couple of weeks shes changed so much. Firstly Pearl no longer fitted in her Moses basket. I thought perhaps we left it a bit late putting her to sleep in the cot, and I was unsure how she would take to sleeping in it, thinking we would be having sleepless nights again. However it was all good, and not a peep of distress. I think she likes having more leg room, and it looks like its encoraging her to roll over, when she kicks at the covers.

I don't think that it will be long until she is sitting up too! fed up now with lying down, the pram is now securely in pushchair mode, and whenever i lye her down she puts her hands out for me to pull her up. Go pearl!!!

Holiday Times

We had a great time on holiday in Suffolk and Norfolk a few weeks ago. Pearls first holiday, and time outside of Leicester. Very exciting. Luckily she went to sleep as soon as we put her in the car, so it was fairly easy to go place to place. Here are a few pictures, of my favourite places in Suffolk.
This one is the most exciting, as it was Pearls first peak at the sea, unfortunatly it was a blowy day, so I didn't dip her toes in! As you can see I had her in the baby sling. One of the few times that its been used.

Pearl's deffinatly talking after her Daddy, and got her sights set on a refreshing lunch time ale. Well when in Rome...

and at the end of a long day seeing the sights, its just too difficult staying awake any longer!

Pearls got hands

Pearl is starting to grab things and use her hands, mainly just to put everything in her mouth!

swimming time

Today we 'splashed out' at mother care and bought Pearl her first swimming cosssie.. its so cute. I want a matching one. Going to take her swimming next weekend to get her used to water early, so when we go on hols we can go in the pools or the sea! If its warm enough. (Abroad not Norfolk)
